Richardson, Texas, – November 14, 2008 – NetPower announces the release of a new series of quarter brick converters. The QBC4 converters are rated at 390W – the highest rating in the industry for regulated output quarter brick converters.
QBC4 converters work in the standard telecom input voltage range of 36V to 75V and produce output voltages of 12V, 9.6V and 5V with <5% regulation accuracy, suitable for the challenging high power Intermediate Bus Architecture (IBA) applications. The industry leading efficiencies (96% @ 12V/33A) coupled with optimized thermal design allow the QBC4 converters to achieve superior thermal performance and highest output power in practical environments. The low profile and excellent thermal derating make them the ideal choices for densely packed systems.
QBC4 converters exhibit monotonic start-up into pre-biased load and allow parallel operation of multiple QBC4 converters for load share. Protection features include input under voltage lock out, output over-voltage/over-current protection, and over temperature protection. Other option features include negative/positive enable logic, auto-restart after fault shutdown, and baseplate for enhanced thermal performance.
QBC4 converters together with our comprehensive non-isolated POL converters provide our customers complete solutions for IBA applications.
Samples of the QBC4 converters are available immediately.
